The Mobile Ruin focuses on the mobility of the Berlin Wall post-1989 in its various forms, from pocket-sized souvenirs to large, two-ton slabs. The exhibition suggests many missing histories as the Wall loses its context through both the passage of time and its incessant movement.

Installation view of our 46' three-channel video, The Labour of Commemoration, at Prefix ICA, Toronto. The video focuses on the construction (Nov. 1-8, 2014), commemorative day (Nov. 9, 2014) and take down (Nov. 10-14, 2014) of the 25th anniversary events related to the fall of the Berlin Wall in Berlin in November 2014. The viewer is able to observe the past, present and future of the commemorative moment simultaneously.

In November 2009, Freedom Rocks was shown with images of the Berlin Wall from the Black Star Collection at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. The exhibition was on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This exhibition was sponsored by the Ryerson Image Centre.
